Progression of our Design
The image above demonstrates our initial design and idea. In this design, we wanted to separate plastic, glass, and metal using a unique formation of tubes as well as photoresistors, lasers, motors, and an Arduino Uno.
In this model, we made significant changes in our design. Instead of sorting between plastic, glass, and metal, we wanted to sort between objects that are recyclables and objects that are waste. We decided to make this change because we felt that it solved a bigger issue in our society.
This image shows the inside cutout of our previous design. This diagram includes the photoresistors, the servo motors, or the lasers.
This is our final design. Our final design includes a laser, photoresistor, an Arduino, and cushioning. We decided to switch back to our original design after figuring out some minor flaws with our old design. This final design is superior and works effectively.
As our product developed so did our website and our logo. We went from a simplistic design with our original name and logo to a more sophisticated name, logo, and design of our website.
